While this park might be a great destination for seasonal campers who enjoy weekend bands and crafts, it's not well-suited for overnight stops off I-90 — especially if you're traveling in a big rig. First, the directions are a bit misleading. The website mentions special instructions only for big rigs, but in reality, everyone should follow them. The route involves steep hills and backroads, climbing to around 700' elevation. If you miss those directions, you could end up in a difficult situation. The interior roads are narrow and in need of grading. We were assigned a “pull-thru” site for a 30-day stay, but due to fencing, trees, and the positioning of the fire pit, we actually had to back out — not easy with a big rig on an uneven site. Trying to enjoy the outdoors was also a challenge. Our neighbor burned something in their fire pit daily that sent ash onto our site and produced a strong, unpleasant smell. We often had to go inside and turn on the A/C just to escape it. Seasonal campers mostly kept to themselves and felt unfriendly, and the staff didn’t seem particularly welcoming either. When we had a mechanical issue the day before our departure, their only response was: “You have to be gone by Friday — we’re full.” No offer of help, no resources or suggestions — just a hard deadline. Thankfully, we found an outside repair facility on our own. To top it off, as we were working on the repairs, the same staff member who led us to our site tried to mow our spot while we were standing there. I had to stop him from doing it. This might be a fun place for locals or seasonal campers, but if you’re just passing through or need reliable accommodations for a longer stay with a big rig, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Poor road conditions, unhelpful staff, and uncomfortable surroundings made this a disappointing experience.

The pool was out of service when I went and the man made pond was so blue I could tell of it was on purpose or if it was dirty. I couldn't go in the water but the kids had fun they don't care.

Attempted to make a reservation over the phone. I met an unknown female on the other end of the line. The female stated that there is a 4 year waiting list, despite website advertising stating otherwise for 2025 openings. In addition to this, your camper cannot be over 10 years old. I stated it was built in the early 2000s, and we were berated over the phone for "not having a newer camper" and we should "know better than to call and do our research first." Wow?
