Sunsetview’s 2024 Activity Schedule

All activities are subject to change and are weather permitting.

In addition to our fun theme weekends, our regular weekend activity program usually includes a mix of the following: Movie nights, crafts, candy bar bingo, ball games, and different activities for the kids on most weekends. And for adults: darts, pokeno, corn hole and bingo.

  • Our charity for 2024 will be The Springfield Shriners Children’s Hospital.
  • Check for events throughout the summer that benefit this great organization.

May 1 Campground Opens
(Weather permitting.)
May 10-12 SPECIAL EVENT: Mom Prom featuring Trailer Trash!
It’s a weekend for Mom! Back by popular request, it’s our “Mom’s Prom.” Ladies, do you still have that prom or bridesmaid gown somewhere in your closest? Say yes to the dress and join us Saturday night for a fantastic Mom Prom featuring Trailer Trash, the best modern country band in Western MA!
May 17-19 Family Fun Weekend
Featuring fun for the whole family! Friday, let your artistic self-shine and join us for a Paint Night. Saturday night its Music Bingo!
May 24-27 Memorial Day Weekend
Kick start summer with a fun filled weekend including our annual Field Day Events for all ages. Saturday night it’s a totally radical All Eighties Glow Party with DJ Christopher Robin on Sunday night welcome Chalk Dust, an all-teacher band covering rock and alternative tunes.
May 31 - June 2 SPECIAL EVENT: Darik and the Funbags
Saturday night welcome Darik and the Funbags bringing the best of both worlds; the party feel of the club and the non-stop momentum of a DJ. They reign supreme as a top party band with 24 years of experience. This is where the fun starts.
June 7-9 SPECIAL EVENT: Aquanett
Welcome Aquanett Saturday night. The Aquanett experience is wild, flashy, and full of the decadence that marks the 80’s. It’s the sound, the clothes, the hair, but most of all it’s pure fun. It’s New England’s most authentic tribute to the 80’s.
June 14-16 SPECIAL EVENT: Johnny Sixgun
Johnny Sixgun is a ten piece hard driving classic rock band complete with horn section that will hit the ground runnin’ hard and loud. Every Dad is sure to find something to love at this classic rewind evening. Get ready to join in, we promise it is an experience.
June 21-23 Join us for a Leap Year SPECIAL EVENT: Rowe County
This fabulous new band on the scene plays the best of your modern country and rock favorites, featuring vocals by the amazing Amanda Rowe!
June 28-30 Pirate Weekend
Saturday hang out on the beach for a pre-party in the afternoon. At night join us for a swashbuckling good time with DJ Christopher Robin on the beach! Events include a MYO Pirate ship contest for 12 and under picaroons and a costume contest for scallywags of all ages!
July 3-7 Fourth of July Week
Highlights for the long weekend: An old-fashioned Camp Parade Thursday. We have a Guest DJ for Thursday night! Friday night it’s Karaoke with Bob Heck Entertainment. Saturday welcome camp favorite Ray Guillemette Jr for Elvis on Parade and King Kountry!
July 12-14 Sunsetview’s 54th Birthday and Vendor Fair
Celebrate our birthday with camper carnival games and The Shriners Clowns. Get your birthday shopping in with our Craft and Vendor Fair! Saturday night will feature General Gist who will keep you dancing all night long playing classic rock and blues with an unexpected twist. Click here for an application to our Vendor Fair (PDF).
July 19-21 Beach Dance
Join us for fun in the sun Saturday with DJ Christopher Robin playing all your favorite beach tunes. Featured activities include music on the beach all day, a Limbo Contest for all ages and a Volleyball Tournament for ages 13 and up.
July 26-28 Christmas In July
Bring your holiday decorations for our site decorating contest. Saturday will feature Christmas crafts and a visit from Santa. Saturday night bring the whole family for Christmas themed Music Bingo!
August 2-4 Massachusetts Weekend. (Rain Date for Vendor Fair)
Saturday August 3rd is our Rain date for the Vendor and Craft Fair. Saturday night wear all your favorite Massachusetts apparel, you may just win a Dunkin card. Let’s give a warm Sunsetview welcome to The 413’s! The hottest new young band in Western Mass playing rock n roll! Wicked!
August 9-11 Luau Weekend
Aloha! Activities include a two person boat race for ages 13 and above and limbo contests for all ages. Enjoy music on the beach all day.
August 16-18 Country Weekend with Southern Rain
Saddle up for a children’s obstacle course. Saturday night welcome back Southern Rain, playing all your modern country favorites with a little rock and pop mixed in.
August 23-25 Karaoke Contest
Enjoy music on the beach all day! At night, dress up as your favorite artist and walk the red carpet on the beach to perform your favorite song in a Karaoke Contest KJ Dawn B! Awards will be given.
August 30 - September 2 Labor Day
Featuring a Pokeno Marathon on Friday Night and a Bingo Marathon on Saturday. Saturday night welcome Brookfield Rhythm, playing classic rock, r & b, funk, and soul. Sunday we will feature our Annual Shriner’s Raffle to benefit The Springfield Shriners Children’s Hospital. Great items for a great cause!
September 6-8 Fall Fun
Saturday join us for Music Bingo! Fun for the whole family!
September 13-15 SPECIAL EVENT: Aquanett
Once was not enough, welcome back Aquanett. This is a full 80’s rock concert brought to life on our stage! Aquanett is one of the most decadent and colorful tribute acts today.
September 20-22 SPECIAL EVENT: No Shoes Nation Band, A Kenny Chesney Tribute
The No Shoes Nation Band recreates the thrill and excitement of a Kenny Chesney show, playing the music you know and love with the same outstanding musicianship that has driven Kenny to sell out stadiums all over the country.
September 27-29 SPECIAL EVENT: Trailer Trash
Trailer Trash Returns! So grab your date and come see the most unlikely band ever to hit the urban streets of Western MA! Come and sing along to all the songs you sing in your car while no one is looking. Put on a pair of boots and a cowboy hat if you like, or just come as you are, and enjoy a night of great music and fun! This ain’t what your Grandpa labeled “country”…This is TRAILER TRASH!
October 4-6 SPECIAL EVENT: Halloween
Decorate yourselves and your campsites with all things Halloween! Friday night we will hold a spooky site stroll. Saturday join us for a Costume Contest and Trick or Treating. This year we will hold a campsite decorating contest with divisions for scariest, most traditional, people’s choice, most interactive and more! We encourage you to have interactive campsites with live actors for our trick or treaters! If you dare, join us for a Monster Glow In The Dark Costume Party.
October 11-14 Columbus Day
Enjoy seasonal favorites, Scarecrow Making and our Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Saturday please welcome Project 267! This talented and energetic band plays a new wave of rock covers. Be there Saturday night as we reveal our fundraising totals for the season and present our check to The Springfield Shriners Children Hospital. Sunday night join us for Music Bingo.

Friday - October 11, 2024

King's Kafe Hours: 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm 

Specials: French Dip $14.00, Seafood Salad Roll with fries $14.00

  • 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Pumpkin Decorating Sign Ups: At the Office. There will be 2 divisions: 12 and under, and 13 to adult. Deadline to sign up is Saturday October 12, 2024 by 5:00 pm. 
  • 6:30 pm Adult Dart Tournament Sign Ups: At the pavilion for adults. Fee $3.00.
  • 7:00 pm Sharp! Adult Dart Tournament: Begins at the pavilion for adults.
  • 7:00 pm Kids Candy Bar Bingo: At the Beach Tent. All you need is yourself and either a highlighter, dabber or light colored crayon to play. 

Saturday - October 12, 2024

  • 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Pumpkin Decorating Sign Ups: At the Office. There will be 2 divisions: 12 and under, and 13 to adult. Deadline to sign up is by 5:00 pm tonight!
  • 10:00 am Crafts: At the pavilion for all ages. Join Kathy and crew for our favorite fall craft, Scarecrows!  Fee $1.00. 
  • 11:00 am Cribbage Tournament: For adults at the Beach Tent. Fee $2.00.  
  • 12:15 pm Bingo Card Sales Begin: At the pavilion for adults. 
  • 1:00 pm Sharp! Bingo: Begins at the pavilion for adults. 
  • 5:00 pm Deadline for Pumpkin Decorating Contest: At the Office. There will be 2 divisions: 12 and under, and 13 to adult.
  • 7:00 pm Pumpkin Contestant Arrival: Bring your pumpkins down to the pavilion. Make sure to check in and grab a number for your pumpkin. Then put them in the designated area for your age group. 
  • 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm: Live Entertainment with Project 267. At the pavilion. Let's give a big  Sunsetview welcome to Project 267. This talented and energetic band plays a new wave of rock covers. 
  • 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm: Pumpkin Voting Booth: Awards are People's Choice. Come and place your votes for your favorite pumpkins in each category. 
  • 9:30 pm Shriners Check Presentation and Pumpkin Decorating Contest Winners: Be at the pavilion while we announce the totals for our Shriners fundraising and see who won the pumpkin decorating contest!

Sunday - October 13, 2024

  • 10:00 am Pokeno: At the pavilion tent for adults.
  • 1:00 pm Private Party: At the Beach Tent. 
  • 4:00 pm Kickball: At the ballfield. for all ages.  
  • 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm  Music Bingo: At the pavilion for all ages. Come play Music Bingo!  Jam out to snippets of their favorite songs while playing competitively against other music lovers!

Monday is last day of season. Please come in and see us. We will be adding on many additional specials through out with the weekend, appetizers, dinners and desserts. We will also have homemade corned beef hash and apple pies. Soups available why they last will be chili, corn chowder and seafood chowder $6.00 a cup and $7.50 a bowl. Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend for the last time this season.  Thank you for all your support this year and can not wait for next year!

Halloween

  • We hope everyone had a terrifyingly good time at last weekend's Halloween Weekend. The costumes were fantastic and the campsites were super spooky. The treats flowed freely and a good time was had by all.
  • Thank you to Steve, Donna and Hannah for a wonderful job judging the costume contest.. a really tough task this year. There were so many amazing costumes!
  • Thank you to all who participated in our costume contest! It was a great turnout and everyone looked awesome. 
  • A Huge thank you to everyone who decorated their sites and made skits for the trick or treaters to enjoy while trick or treating.  The campground looked fantastic and quite spooky.  And a big thank you to our judges and everyone who voted for their favorite sites.  Here are the winners:

Winterizing (boo)
Blue Feather is once again offering winterizing at a group discount. Base rate is $85.00. You can sign up and pay (cash or check) at the office. Bill will be here on October 16th or the 21st to winterize.

In closing, we would like to thank all of our campers for sticking by us all these years! 54 years and counting!!  We would not have made it if it was not for you. We hope your families have a great winter and can take away some precious memories made here from this season.

SEASONALS

PLEASE TURN OVER FOR PAGE FOUR AND SOME IMPORTANT YEAR END REMINDERS. 

Attention Seasonals:

  • Please no power tools, leaf blowers, air compressors, etc. until after 3:00 pm Monday October 14, 2024 
  • Please dispose of any year end bulky trash next weekend. The dumpsters will be quite full after the holiday weekend. 
  • If you have a grill or other item made of metal, check with the office. Do not put metal into the dumpsters. As always, never bring in trash from elsewhere, thank you!
  • Last Night to stay over is Sunday 10/19.
  • You are welcome to come up and check your trailer after we close. Just remember to either call and listen to the voice mail message or check our Facebook page. There may be times when we restrict access to the campground.
  • Be sure to stop by the office before we close to pay any outstanding utility bills.
  • Office closes for the season Sunday 10/20 at 7:00 pm. 
  • Last day for water use is Tuesday 10/22.
