Our planned activities take place on weekends beginning mid-May and continue through Labor Day. During July and August Wednesday is Family Movie Night and Thursday is Adult Bingo Night. Adult bingo also continues through the fall on Saturday afternoons. Columbus Day Weekend we bring back a full schedule of activities.
In addition to our fun theme weekends our regular weekend activity program usually include a mix of the following:
|April 14th||Campground Opens
|May 5 - 7||Glow Party
Join us as we kick of the 2017 season early with a Black Light DJ Dance party Saturday night! Bring out all things that glow under black light like florescent clothing, body paints and powders, and glow jewelry.
Day Weekend, Country Contra
Bring the whole family and mosey on down and join us for an old fashioned Barn Dance featuring Contra Line Dancing with Bill Fischer. There is no fancy footwork involved! Instructions are given by the Caller, dancers form a series of repeating figures. Don’t worry if y’all have never tried this, the evening is geared towards greenhorns of all ages. So dust off your boots and hats because Mom’s compete for Best Cowgirl! Prizes awarded. Sunday Captain Ron will have a special Mother’s Day Breakfast.
|May 19-21||Lip Sync Battle
You got the moves like Jagger, but not the voice? Here is your chance to rock out as your favorite performer without the pressure! Saturday night join us for A Lip Sync Battle! You can battle as an individual or a group, get the whole family involved! Prizes awarded in two categories, Solo Act and Duo or Group.
|May 26-29||Memorial Day Weekend
The swimming pool opens this weekend. Kick start summer with our annual Field Day Events for all ages. We will have a DJ Dance with Christopher Robin Saturday night and “The Cooper Jones Band” will be here Sunday night playing danceable classic and southern rock.
Trailer Trash Weekend
So, let’s be honest, we all live in trailers, out in the country, at least part of the year! Let’s embrace the culture. We’re talkin’ cowboy hats, sleeveless flannel shirts, ball caps, boots, cut offs and ripped jeans. Put it on and come down and see the most unlikely band ever to hit the urban streets of Western MA, “Trailer Trash” playing all YOUR modern county favorites! This ain’t what your Grandpa labeled “country.”This is TRAILER TRASH! Y’all join us some Redneck Roundup games too!
It’s a salute to “The King.” All things Elvis celebrated this weekend! Friday is movie night with an Elvis big screen classic. Wear something “Elvis” and get free popcorn at the movie! At 7:30 pm sharp Saturday night we will have an Elvis Costume Contest! Prizes awarded! At 8:00 pm Saturday evening join us in welcoming Ray Guillemette Jr. a 10 time international 1 st place Elvis Impersonator as he brings us “A Ray Of Elvis.” Back by popular demand!
|June 16-18||Fathers Day, Eighties Style
It’s totally eighties weekend! Saturday night Dad’s compete for the best eighties look! Prizes awarded fer sure. Saturday night we are amped to present “LA’s Backstage Pass.” This band is a reflection of what the 80's were all about. The sound, the attitude, the performance - they all will bring you back to the days of no worries and arena rock concerts. Backstage Pass will ROCK YOUR PAST TODAY with songs from Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns 'N' Roses, Motley Crue, Poison, Whitesnake and many more! Sunday Captain Ron will have a special Father’s Day Breakfast.
|June 23-25||Pirate Weekend!
“Arrr Maties”, its Pirate Weekend! We will have our annual Children’s Obstacle Course-Scallywag Style. Saturday night all ye buccaneers join us for a swashbuckling good time with our own landlubber DJ Christopher Robin out on the beach! Wear your best, we will be judging ye for a Costume Contest. We will also have a Make Your Own Pirate Ship Contest for ages 12 and under. Make sure it can stay afloat or you’ll walk the plank! And remember dead men tell no tales! Savvy?
|June 30, July 1-5||Fourth of July Weekend
Highlights for the long weekend: Saturday night DJ Christopher Robin will be here playing all of your requests. Our annual Fourth Of July Mardi Gras Themed Parade will be held on Sunday the 2nd. Decorate your bikes, strollers, golf carts, etc. in Red, White and Blue or Green, Purple and Gold! A contest will determine our King, Queen, Duke, and Maid who will ride in a place of honor. Sunday night welcome back Ray Guillemette Jr. who will be performing with his amazing country band “King Country!” Monday evening its Karaoke Fun and Comedy with “The Clam Man!” Tuesday evening it’s a Lip Sync Battle, defend or avenge! All ages welcome. Prizes awarded in two categories, Solo Act and Duo or Group.
|July 7-9||Sunsetviews 47th Birthday
Come celebrate your campgrounds birthday with Camper Carnival Games, Face Painting, a Pie Eating Contest and more! Join us Saturday night for a Birthday Party! Enjoy a visit from The Shriners Clowns and top off the day with some delicious cake! Saturday night welcome back local favorites “Raider Eddie and the Skeletones featuring Donna-Lee Deprille and the Glanville Brothers Horns.”
|July 14-16||Annual Beach Dance
Join us for fun in the sun and playing in the pond. DJ Christopher Robin will be playing all your favorite beach tunes. Featured activities include a Limbo Contest for all ages and a Volleyball Tourney for ages 13 and up. Come root on your favorite team and enjoy all the excitement!
|July 21-23||Christmas In July
Bring your holiday decorations and help us trim the campground sidewalks in holiday style, in the air there’s a feeling of Christmas! We will have a Christmas Party Saturday night to get us all in the holiday spirit. We will also hold our Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest! Wear your sweaters and help us welcome Santa and his elves Saturday Night!
|July 28-30||Car Show and Oldies Dance
Enjoy a classic weekend! We will hold our annual Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show. Cast your vote for your favorites. Saturday night dance, Enchantment Under The Sea. Be there or be square! So bust out the poodle skirts, saddle shoes, leather jackets, and white T-shirts and join us! Prizes awarded. Featuring classic oldies music from “The Noteables.”
|August 4-6||Island Luau
Join us on the beach for a slice of Hawaii in our own backyard. DJ Christopher Robin will be playing island tunes for your listening pleasure! Activities include Two Person Boat Race (13 and up), with prizes awarded for first, second and third place! Also a Limbo Contest for all ages.
All Decade Weekend and Shriners
What is your favorite decade; 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s? Raid your closets and dress in your favorite decade. Prizes awarded for the best representation of each decade listed! Saturday night we will feature “Moose & the High Tops” covering a wide mix of selections. No matter what your preference is, “Moose & the High Tops” have it down and ready to go. Selections from Queen, Styx, Van Halen, REM, Bruce Springsteen and many other stops along the musical road. With this band one thing is for sure: you'll hear some of your favorite tunes as well as some of the greatest tunes in rock history!
|August 18-20||Jimmy Buffet Weekend and Glow Dance Party
This weekend sit back, relax, and enjoy the island escapism lifestyle and leave your worries behind. Enjoy music on the beach, fun activities, and a costume contest for the best Parrothead and Parakeet. At night join us for a Black Light DJ Dance Party on the beach. |August 25-27||Halloween Weekend*
This weekend our campground will be chilling, creepy, and all about creating cackles! Help us by decorating yourselves and your campsites with all things Halloween! We will have Trick or Treating throughout the campground, followed by a Costume Parade and Contest. If you dare join us at a Monster Mash DJ Dance! Our featured event is our annual spine chilling Spook Ride. (FEE) This event is volunteer built and run and all proceeds benefit The Springfield Shriners Children’s Hospital. It’s a ghastly ghoulish time for a great cause!
*Due to the popularity of this weekend we do have a visitor limit on Saturday 8/26. We allow each site only one visiting family on that day, please try not to exceed six people and one car. This number does not include visitors with season passes.
|September 1-4||Labor Day Weekend
We have a full schedule of activities planned. We will hold our annual Pokeno Marathon on Friday Night and Bingo Marathon on Saturday. Saturday night please welcome “Gov’t Surplus” playing classic and southern rock favorites. Sunday we will feature our Annual Chinese Raffle to benefit The Springfield Shriners Children’s Hospital. Great items for a great cause! Come out and support our volunteers and donors who work so hard to make this evening such a success!
|October 6-9||Columbus Day Weekend
Many of our regular activities return for one last time before the cold arrives. Join us at crafts for camp favorite Scarecrow Making! Also, carve a pumpkin and enter your creation in our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest Saturday night, adult and youth divisions. Saturday night join us for a DJ Dance with Christopher Robin. Sunday night welcome camp favorite “Relentless” performing current chart topping hits, new country, with some classic rock thrown in. This band will fill the dance floor for our last dance of the season! Please be there Sunday night at 8:30 pm as we reveal our fundraising totals for the season and present our check to The Springfield Shriners Children Hospital.
