All activities are subject to change and are weather permitting.

In addition to our fun theme weekends, our regular weekend activity program usually includes a mix of the following: movie nights, crafts, candy bar bingo, and more. And for adults: darts, cribbage, pokeno, corn hole, and bingo.

  • Our charity for 2025 will be The Springfield Shriners Children’s Hospital.

May 1 Campground Opens

May 9-11 SPECIAL EVENT: Mom Prom featuring Trailer Trash!
Join us Saturday night for our Mom Prom featuring Trailer Trash, the best modern country band in Western MA!
May 16-18 Musical Bingo With Good Thomas Entertainment
Join us Saturday night for this unique event that’s fun for all ages!
May 23-26 Memorial Day
Kick start summer with a fun-filled weekend including our annual Field Day Events for all ages. Saturday night come down for Country Line Dance Lessons followed by an evening of dancing with Rudy, Dawn, & Rhonda! Sunday night welcome Chalk Dust, an all-teacher band covering rock and alternative tunes.
May 30 - June 1 SPECIAL EVENT: Aquanett
Aquanett performs Saturday night, the experience is wild, flashy, and full of the decadence that marks the 80’s. It’s the sound, the clothes, the hair, but most of all it’s pure fun. It’s New England’s most authentic tribute to the 80’s.
June 6-8 SPECIAL EVENT: Rowe County Band
Back by popular demand! Saturday night join us for a tribute to the greatest female country artists of the 90’s to today with a twist of your favorite rock classics, featuring vocals by the amazing Amanda Rowe!
June 13-15 SPECIAL EVENT: Wicked Peach
Saturday night, be there for the debut of New England’s ultimate rock cover band, Wicked Peach covering your 90’s favorites and more!
June 20-22 SPECIAL EVENT: Redneck Castaway Band, A Kenny Chesney Tribute
Saturday night, experience the thrill and excitement of a Kenny Chesney show, playing the music you know and love with the same outstanding musicianship that has driven Kenny to sell out stadiums all over the country.
June 27-29 Pirate Weekend
Saturday, hang out on the beach for a pre-party in the afternoon. At night join us for a swashbuckling good time with DJ Christopher Robin on the beach! Events include a MYO Pirate ship contest for 12 and under picaroons and a costume contest for scallywags of all ages!
July 3-6 Fourth of July Week
Highlights for the long weekend: An old-fashioned Camp Parade Friday. We have a Guest DJ for Friday night! Saturday, welcome camp favorite Ray Guillemette Jr for Elvis on Parade and King Kountry!
July 11-13 Sunsetview’s 55th Birthday, Featuring Our Vendor Fair and General Gist
Celebrate our birthday with camper carnival games and The Shriners Clowns. Get your birthday shopping in with our Craft and Vendor Fair! Saturday night will feature General Gist who will keep you dancing all night long playing classic rock and blues with an unexpected twist. Click here for an application to our Vendor Fair (PDF).
July 18-20 Beach Dance
Join us for fun in the sun Saturday with DJ Christopher Robin playing all your favorite beach tunes. Featured activities include music on the beach all day, a Limbo Contest for all ages and a Volleyball Tournament for ages 13 and up Saturday night.
July 25-27 Celebrity Christmas In July
Bring your holiday decorations for our site decorating contest. Saturday will feature Christmas crafts and a visit from Santa. Saturday night, dress up as your favorite artist and walk the red carpet on the beach to perform your favorite song in a Karaoke Contest with KJ Dawn B!
August 1-3 Massachusetts Weekend, featuring The 413s (Rain Date for Vendor Fair)
Saturday August 2nd is our Rain date for the Vendor and Craft Fair. Saturday night, welcome back to The 413’s! The hottest new young band in Western Mass playing rock n roll! Be sure to wear all your favorite Massachusetts apparel as you browse booths of a few MA-based businesses and you may just win a Dunkin card!
August 8-10 Luau Weekend
Aloha! Saturday, sit back, relax, and enjoy music on the beach all day. Saturday evening features our famous two-person boat race for ages 13 and above and limbo contests for all ages.
August 15-17 Country Weekend with Southern Rain
Saddle up for a children’s obstacle course. Saturday night, welcome back Southern Rain, playing all your modern country favorites with a little rock and pop mixed in.
August 22-24 Monson Weekend. Featuring Project 267
Celebrate Monson with high energy music from the local musicians of Project 267 on Saturday night. This “must have back” band brings a new wave of rock covers. Saturday, browse booths of Monson-based businesses.
August 29 - September 1 Labor Day, Black Cadillac and Shriners Raffle
Featuring a Pokeno Marathon on Friday Night and a Bingo Marathon on Saturday. Saturday night is the Sunsetview debut of Black Cadillac! This versatile band plays rock covers from all decades. Sunday we will feature our Annual Shriner’s Raffle to benefit The Springfield Shriners Children’s Hospital. Great items for a great cause! Stay till the end! This year we will reveal our fundraising totals for the season and present our check to The Springfield Shriners Children Hospital at the end of the event!
September 5-7 SPECIAL EVENT: Fighting Friday
We are so excited to bring you this band out of Boston, MA. Fighting Friday is known for insane mashups, in any style! See you on the dance floor Saturday night!
September 12-14 SPECIAL EVENT: Aquanett
Once was not enough, Saturday night welcome back Aquanett. This is a full 80’s rock concert brought to life on our stage! Aquanett is one of the most decadent and colorful tribute acts today.
September 19-21 SPECIAL EVENT: Darik and the Funbags
Saturday night, welcome Darik and the Funbags, bringing the best of both worlds: the party feel of the club and the non-stop momentum of a DJ. This is where the fun starts.
September 26-28 SPECIAL EVENT: Trailer Trash
Saturday night, grab your date and come see the most unlikely band ever to hit the urban streets of Western MA! This ain’t what your Grandpa labeled “country” … this is Trailer Trash!
October 3-5 SPECIAL EVENT: Halloween
Decorate yourselves and your campsites with all things Halloween! Friday night we will hold a spooky site stroll. Saturday, join us for a Costume Contest and Trick or Treating. Get in the spirit with a Campsite Decorating Contest with divisions for scariest, most traditional, people’s choice, most interactive and more! We encourage you to have interactive campsites with live actors for our trick or treaters! If you dare, join us for a Monster Glow in The Dark Costume Party.
October 10-13 Columbus Day, MassHats & Musical Bingo With Good Thomas
Enjoy seasonal favorites, Scarecrow Making and our Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Saturday night please welcome MassHats, playing all your favorite 90’s Rock and more! Sunday night join us for Musical Bingo With Good Thomas Entertainment. Fun for the whole family! What a fantastic way to end our entertainment lineup for the season!

A message from the Kafe: Ok Guys, this is the last weekend. We need all of your help to empty the freezers while supplies last! We will be featuring a variety of soups, chili, desserts and additional specials all weekend long!

Friday - October 10, 2025

  • 6:30 pm Adult Dart Tournament Sign Ups: At the pavilion for adults. Fee $3.00.
  • 7:00 pm Sharp! Adult Dart Tournament: Begins at the pavilion for adults.
  • 7:00 pm Kids Candy Bar Bingo: At the Beach Tent. All you need is yourself and either a highlighter, dabber or light colored crayon to play. 

Saturday - October 11, 2025

  • 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Pumpkin Decorating Sign Ups: At the Office. There will be 2 divisions: 12 and under, and 13 to adult. Deadline to sign up is by 5:00 pm tonight!
  • 10:00 am Crafts: At the pavilion for all ages. Join Kathy and crew for our favorite fall craft, Scarecrows!  Fee $1.00. 
  • 11:00 am Cribbage Tournament: For adults at the Beach Tent. Fee $2.00.  
  • 12:15 pm Bingo Card Sales Begin: At the pavilion for adults.

  • 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm: Pumpkin Voting Booth: Awards are People's Choice. Come and place your votes for your favorite pumpkins in each category. 
  • 10:00 pm Year End Awards with Jeff!
  • 10:00 pm Drawing for the Propane Fire Pit Table.

Harvest Of Horrors: Fundraiser for The Monson Open Pantry

On behalf of Da Brook Boo Crew, we want to thank everyone who joined us to scare away hunger last weekend. We raised $285 on Friday night! The office is still collecting food donations. It’s a great way to clean out your camper, please check expiration dates!

Halloween

  • We hope everyone had a terrifyingly good time at last weekend's Halloween Weekend. The costumes were fantastic and the campsites were super spooky. The treats flowed freely and a good time was had by all.
  • Thank you to Donna, Tami and Hannah for a wonderful job judging the costume contest.. a really tough task this year. There were so many amazing costumes!
  • A Huge thank you to everyone who decorated their sites and made skits for the trick or treaters to enjoy while trick or treating. The campground looked fantastic and quite spooky.  
  • And a big thank you to our judges and everyone who voted for their favorite sites.

Each off season, the Sunset Misfits hold a winter bash to reconnect with their camping friends. Tickets for the fire pit table raffle will be on sale this weekend! See Carmen site 118, Kim Site Squirrel Hollow, or Donna site P. Tickets are $5.00. 

Winter Bash

The Winter Bash this year will be on Saturday January 24th from 5 pm- 11pm. It will include a Food, raffle and music. Tickets can be purchased for $25 by contacting Kim at kgfortini@yahoo.com.

Kings Kafe
Sadly 2025 will be last season for the folks at King Kafe. Please stop by before the season ends and let them know your appreciation for all the delicious meals they have served over the past two seasons. We are currently on the lookout for someone who would be interested in taking over the restaurant. Email us at camp@sunsetview.com for more details!

Winterizing (boo)

Blue Feather will once again be winterizing the campground as a group again this year.  He will be here October 15th or 20th.  You can choose which date you will like.  This year the group rate base fee is $90.00 and must be prepaid by cash or check.  Forms and envelopes are available at the office if you would like Blue Feather to winterize your camper.

Freedom Rolls RV will also be winterizing. Base rate $110. For more information, come to the office.  

SEASONALS: SOME IMPORTANT YEAR END REMINDERS. 

  • Please no power tools, leaf blowers, air compressors, etc. until after 3:00 pm Monday October 13, 2025
  • Please dispose of any year end bulky trash (tarps, ez-ups, etc.) till next weekend, the 17th. Please only trash. The dumpsters will be quite full after the holiday weekend. Please do this if it is at all possible, thank you!
  • If you have a grill or other item made of metal, check with the office. Do not put metal into the dumpsters. As always, never bring in trash from elsewhere, thank you!
  • Last Night to stay over is Sunday 10/19.
  • You are welcome to come up and check your trailer after we close. Just remember to either call and listen to the voice mail message or check our Facebook page. There may be times when we restrict access to the campground.
  • Be sure to stop by the office before we close to pay any outstanding utility bills.
  • Office closes for the season Sunday 10/19 at 7:00 pm. 
  • Bathrooms Close on Tuesday 10/21
  • Water will be shut off on Wednesday 10/22.

In closing, we would like to thank all of our campers for sticking by us all these years! 55 years and counting!!  We would not have made it if it was not for you. We hope your families have a great winter and can take away some precious memories made here from this season.
